How to Care for Your Car During Vancouver's Rainy Season

In Metro Vancouver, wet roads and muddy shoes can quickly make a clean car feel tired. A few simple habits help protect the cabin and keep maintenance manageable between professional details.

1. Remove moisture from mats and carpets

Shake out rubber mats and allow them to dry away from the vehicle. If carpeting underneath becomes wet, address the source of moisture and improve ventilation. Persistent dampness deserves prompt attention rather than fragrance alone.

2. Keep glass clean on both sides

Clean the interior windshield as well as the exterior. Oils and haze on glass can make glare more noticeable during rainy nighttime driving. Use a product suitable for automotive glass and avoid overapplying coatings.

3. Wash off road film when conditions allow

Regular exterior washing helps remove road grime from paint and wheels. We only perform mobile exterior services when the weather and working area allow proper cleaning, finishing and drying.

4. Choose the right interior detail

A Maintenance Interior is for cars that are nearly clean. Regular suits typical weekly debris; Deep is for substantial buildup and includes carpet and floor-mat shampoo. Wet seats or heavily soiled carpets may need specialist care and time to dry before the vehicle is used.

5. Protect without unrealistic promises

Spray sealants can support surface care, but they do not prevent all road grime, replace routine washing, or correct damaged paint. Windshield rain repellents should be used only as directed and never substitute for working wipers.

6. Book with the forecast in mind

Karfort is a mobile service. Some work requires access to water, electricity and sheltered or dry conditions. Contact us about availability and location before booking intensive shampoo or coatings during colder months.
